"The Bueno basketball program led by Coach Ali is the real deal!  All the coaches are hoopers that have played high level, organized basketball at the high school or collegiate level. They are a fantastic group of women who understand the needs of young female players, in both the physical and mental aspects of competitive basketball.

My daughter was 11 years old and just beginning her basketball journey when she joined Bueno Basketball. Having previously played on boys’ teams, we appreciated the strong female role models she found in Ali, the other coaches, and the older players she got to train with. My daughter really benefited from the skills training and game experience that the program provides, as well as the one-on-one time with Ali to understand the details of plays and game strategy.

My daughter spends so much time in the gym that surrounding her with good people who can help her become the best basketball player and person she can be is a top priority.  I have the utmost trust and respect for Ali and her team of coaches.  Without the foundation that Bueno basketball provided her, I don’t think my daughter would be the player she is today."

"I have been involved with Bueno Basketball for the past 3 years where I learned a lot. It's been an incredible journey, not just for athletic improvement, but also for my personal growth.

I've developed leadership skills, gained confidence, learned to be part of a team and work with others. I also understood better the meaning of dedication and how to push myself further to better my skills as a player on multiple levels and playing different positions.

The supportive environment, with incredible coaches, encouraging teammates, and a wonderful family support system, is something I’ll always cherish.

Through the various coaching sessions, the program has helped me identify my weaknesses as a player and work diligently to improve them. At the same time, it's provided opportunities to showcase my strengths and ways for me to excel.

"We are glad we found Bueno academy and Ali. Ali focuses on a positive environment for girls basketball which is important and rare. Ali really helped my daughter build up her confidence and kept her in the game.

My daughter has had a chance to work with other coaches including Coach Ireland who has been amazing - always supportive and encouraging.

Coach Ali and Coach Ireland are good role models for middle and high school girls. Ali’s unique small acts really add up to a good program for girls in basketball - letting them build skills and confidence at the same time.  

For example, she encourages kids to share something about their day at the beginning of practice allowing them to connect with her and their teammates.  She really helps them ride through the ups and downs of winning and losing by keeping perspective.

After a game, she will often reflect on what she could do better in the future and thus encourages the girls to keep working to get better. Ali models the behavior she expects from the girls - respect, grace, and healthy competitiveness."
